The wait of fans is finally over as eight popular international footballers including Brazilian legend and current club ambassador for FC Barcelona, Ronaldinho have finally arrived in Pakistan. Don’t miss out on the chance to witness history in the making. See you at the match tonight in Karachi.

The other international players include David James, George Botang, Luis Bova, Nicolas Anelka, Robert Pyres, Ryan Giggs and Roberto Carlos, and VIP security will be given to them.

The nation will witness the real football matches on Pakistani grounds on July 8 in Karachi and July 9 in Lahore for which strict security measurements have also been ensured.

One team will be captained by Ronaldinho while the other will play under the supervision of Ryan Giggs.

The players, who will play with a group of Pakistani players for two seven a side matches in Karachi and Lahore, reached Islamabad early Saturday morning via a private jet.

It is worth mentioning that Pakistan Army arranged security for the visiting footballers and the event was made possible only after its security clearance.

COAS General Qamar Javed Bajwa will also host a reception in honour of the visiting footballers later in the morning before the group flies to Karachi for the inaugural game of “Ronaldinho and Friends”.

The “Ronaldinho and Friends” lineup includes Roberto Carlos, Nicolas Anelka, Ronaldinho, Robert Pires, Luis Boa Morte, David James, George Boateng, and Ryan Giggs.

Pakistani players in action with them will be Kaleemullah, Saddam Hussain, Saadullah, Yousuf Butt, Abdul Aziz, Muhammad Essa, Ghulam Rasool, and star of street child football team Mohammad Razzik.

It is finally happening, the biggest sporting event in the history of Pakistan. #RonaldinhoAndFriends are coming over to play two football matches, one in Karachi and one in Lahore.

Kickoff in Karachi: 8:30 pm, July 8, Abdul Sattar Edhi Hockey Stadium.
Kickoff in Lahore: 5:00 pm, July 9, Fortress Stadium.
