Zil-Hajj Moon sighting, Ruet-e-Hilal Committee to meet today

Ruet-e-Hilal Committee to meet today for Zil-Hajj Moon
The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee meeting will held today (Tuesday) in order to sighting Zil-Hajj moon in Pakistan.

The meeting headed by chairman Mufti Muneebur Rehman will be held in Karachi’s Meteorological Department after Asr prayer.

It will be attended by committee members and authorities of concerned departments. The final announcement regarding the moon sighting will be made by the chairman.

Deputy Director Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Hafiz Abdul Qudoos told Sial News that meetings of the zonal or district Ruet-e-Hilal committee would be held on same date and at the same time.

He said all members of the Ruet-Hilal committee had been invited in Karachi to participate in the meeting.

According to Met office, the new moon of Zilhaj will be born on crossing conjunction point at 11:30 PST on August 21.

The Pakistan Meteorological Department has predicted that the Zilhaj moon is likely to be sighted on Tuesday August 22, and Eidul Azha will, therefore, be celebrated across Pakistan on Friday, September 1.

The astronomical parameters suggest that there is a slight chance of Zilhaj’s moon sighting on the evening of August 22 i.e. on 29th of Ziquad, 1438 AH.

As per climate record, the weather is expected partly cloudy/cloudy in most parts of the country.
