West Ham vs Manchester United
England – Premier League
Date: Sunday, 22 September 2019
Kick-off at 14:00 UK / 15:00 CET
Venue: Olympic Stadium (London)
Manchester United’s away form has been unconvincing to say the least. They have drawn both away games so far this season and not won in any of their last eight competitive away games.
West Ham, on the other hand, are unbeaten in their last five games in all competitions.
As a result, it is surprising to see Man United are such clear favourites – Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s team have been unconvincing this season and are definitely capable of dropping points in this game.
Add to that the injuries to Paul Pogba and Anthony Martial and the fact Daniel James has missed training this week too, and the draw at the very least is a tempting price.
West Ham also have new signing Sebastien Haller in good goalscoring form, and the big striker will be a big threat to a United defence that has too often looked shaky in the past 18 months.
Man United have drawn both away games this season, as mentioned, and a third away draw would not be a huge surprise in this fixture.
Here are the results of their last five competitive matches:
Apr 13, 2019: Manchester United 2-1 West Ham United
Sep 29, 2018: West Ham United 3-1 Manchester United
May 10, 2018: West Ham United 0-0 Manchester United
Aug 13, 2017: Manchester United 4-0 West Ham United
Jan 02, 2017: West Ham United 0-2 Manchester United
West Ham United vs Manchester United Prediction
West Ham United are unbeaten in their last five games and Man United’s inconsistent form and poor recent record away from home points to the Hammers getting something from this.
Correct Score Prediction: West Ham 1-1 Manchester United
