Former India captain MS Dhoni shocked the entire cricket fraternity when he announced news of his retirement from all three forms of international cricket on 15 August 2020. Dhoni closed his illustrious international career of 16 years and suddenly retired from playing for more than a year following the holidays. This time around there are strong rumours that the former Indian captain is playing his final season in the Indian Premier League (IPL).

The franchise is on the brink of becoming the first team to crash out of the league. On Friday, 23 October, MS Dhoni’s squad suffered a humiliating defeat to fierce Indian rivals Mumbai, Michigan, by up to 10 wickets.
