ISLAMABAD (Web Desk): Pakistan’s minister for religious affairs Sardar Muhammad Yousuf informed media on Wednesday that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has approved Hajj Policy 2014.
The minister said that according to the policy, banks will start accepting applications from 21 April 2014 from first come, first served basis.
This year, 56000 Pakistanis will go for Hajj through government scheme will private travel agencies will carry 86000 pilgrims.
About the expenditure, Minister informed media that Karachi, Quetta and Sukkur pilgrims will have to spend 262000 while those belonging to Islamabad, Multan, Rahim Yar Khan and Sialkot will have to pay 272000 Pakistani rupees for Hajj.
Yusuf said that due to the expansion project of Masjid-Ul-Haram, this year 20 percent less pilgrims will reach Saudi Arabia.

Hajj charges/Dues government scheme ::
1 – Rs 262,231 rupees for those pilgrims travelling from Karachi, Quetta and Sukkur
2 – Rs Rs272,231 Who’s travelling from Peshawar, Islamabad, Multan, Rahim Yar Khan, Faisalabad and SialkotIn relation to the draft policy for 2014, the package rates indicate that the return airfare to and from Saudi Arabia will cost Rs66,372 for those travelling from Karachi, Quetta and Sukkur, while those travelling from other stations will be charged to pay Rs76,372.
These costs are included in the hajj packagesmentioned.The package is almost 16 per cent lower than the package offered in 2013 when they were priced at Rs 285,070 and Rs295,070.
Who’s Un-Eligible For 2014 Hajj Scheme : Policy states that anyone who has performed Hajj during the last five years will not be eligible to partake in the pilgrimage this year except for those people who will be going as ‘Mehram’ or the ones performing ‘Hajj-e-Badal’.

This is because the bank list purported to be for Hajj 2014 seems to be a true copy of bank list issued for Hajj 2013.How can one differentiate between these two?
I think giving clarification or issuing corrections is the proper solution.Doing some thing in anticipation does not give a good impression.

We offered hajj applications in HBL sharah Quaid-e-Azam branch Mall Road Lhr…… But they issued acknowledgements of hajj applications where in no time was mentioned…… What will formula be first come first avail the chance adopted where the time was not given by the bank…. ???? Plz ans my comment….

It is stated that the bank received more than 125000 Hajj applications on first day of receiving the application. The quota for hajj under the government scheme is around 55000. The ministry of hajj insured that the application will be served on first came, first served basis but the problem is this designated Banks especially MCB allegedly told their branch managers to fill the receiving time between 9 am to 10 am even if the form is received in the evening and all the bank do so. There was an electronic form receiving facility also which have accurate time of submission but now ministry of hajj employees are compiling the application regarding to the manual time instead of electronic time. In this way many pilgrims application will be rejected even if they submit their application as early as possible.
The ministry of hajj ensured that the Hajj 2014 applications under the government scheme would be entertained on first come, first served basis and in the above situation there is no way to make arrangements flawless and smooth.
Please highlight this issue to help the eligible applicant to perform this noble ritual.
