Legendary Pakistani all-rounder Shahid Afridi, who is representing Quetta Gladiators in the Pakistan Super League (PSL 7) this year, said he went to hospital with permission from the team management .
Afridi said he was out of the bubble and would complete the required three-day quarantine period, after which he would rejoin the team.
The all-rounder had asked franchise management to excuse him from the biosecure bubble due to health and personal issues, sources told Geo News.
Sources familiar with the matter told the outlet that Afridi had told management that he was suffering from back pain and that a relative of his wife had died.
It should be noted that this year’s PSL, which kicks off tomorrow at the National Stadium in Karachi, will be Afridi’s final event.
