The Hero Hockey Champions Trophy 2014 begin from 6th December. Here is the Complete Schedule of the the Tournament wihich is to be Host By India. Final will be on 14th December 2014.
The matches are scheduled to be played in Bhubaneshwar but the fixtures details are not announced yet by the field hockey authorities. The start date and the finishing dates however are 6 December to 14 December 2014
The 2014 Men’s Hockey Champions Trophy will be the 35th edition of the Hockey Champions Trophy for men. It will be held between 6–14 December 2014 in Bhubaneswar, India.
From this year on the tournament will begin to be held biannually due to the introduction of the Hockey World League, returning to its original format changed after the inaugural tournament in 1978.
Alongside the host nation, the top five finishers from the previous edition and the winner of the 2012 Champions Challenge I qualified automatically. The remaining spots were nominated by the FIH Executive Board, making a total of 8 competing teams. If one of the teams refused to play, that place will be award to next best finisher in the previous tournament, the same applies to the teams nominated by the Executive Board.
