NPL 2026 Today Match and Result
Rest day means no live score to follow today, Thursday 30 October 2026. League phase rest days are 30 October, 4 November, 8 November and 11 November, and today is the first of them. Play resumes on Saturday 31 October with two matches at TU Ground, Kirtipur.
Latest result comes from Match 6 on Thursday 29 October. Karnali Yaks chased 187 against Biratnagar Kings and won by 4 wickets, finishing on 187/6 in 19.5 overs against Biratnagar’s 186/7 in 20 overs. Karnali’s win took them to the top of the points table with 4 points from 2 matches. Lumbini Lions sit second with 2 points and an NRR of +4.599, and Chitwan Rhinos sit third with 2 points and an NRR of +0.400.
Match 6 result also confirmed the early shape of the season. Karnali are the only team with a perfect record, Biratnagar have lost both matches so far, and the four teams on 2 points are already separated sharply by net run rate. Saturday’s double-header will shuffle the table again, weather permitting.
Where to Follow NPL Live Score
Official live-scores page is the main free hub for every Season 3 match. During a live match it shows both innings totals, wickets fallen, overs bowled, run rate and the result, plus the upcoming fixture list and recent results. Between matches, the last finished scorecard stays available on each match page, so Match 6’s scorecard is there to check right now. Ball-by-ball text commentary also lives on the streaming platforms, and independent ball-by-ball score and commentary runs on ESPNcricinfo.
Live video is a separate route from live scores. NetTV holds the worldwide streaming rights with a Season Pass covering all 32 matches on its mobile app and web platform: Rs 400 including tax in Nepal, Rs 600 in the Middle East, and US$10 in the USA, Europe, Australia, Japan and Korea. NetTV pass works on mobile app and web only, not on Smart TV or set-top-box apps. Himalaya Sports holds the linear TV rights in Nepal, and every match airs on cable and DTH inside regular channel packages with no extra pay-per-view fee.
Two things to avoid: no standalone official NPL app exists, so the official mobile route is the NetTV app, and no official YouTube live stream has been announced. Any page or app claiming to be the official NPL app or the official YouTube stream is not the real thing.
Next Matches: Saturday Double-Header and Rain Threat
Match 7 on Saturday 31 October (Lumbini Lions vs Chitwan Rhinos, 12:30 PM NST) is an early top-of-table clash. Winner joins Karnali on 4 points at 2–0, while loser stays on 2 points. Match 8 on Saturday 31 October (Sudurpaschim Royals vs Biratnagar Kings, evening) is a must-win game for Biratnagar, who must avoid a third straight loss, while a Sudurpaschim win would take them to 4 points and keep them inside the top four.
Rain in Kathmandu since late Thursday night has put Saturday’s matches in doubt. Drizzle is expected to continue until Saturday evening, and chances of Saturday’s matches taking place are low. Ground staff have covered the pitch with protective sheets, but the forecast is the deciding factor, not the covers.
NPL has no reserve days, so a washed-out match is not replayed later. Abandoned match means both teams share 1 point each. Saturday’s points could therefore be split without a ball bowled: an abandoned Match 7 would put Lumbini and Chitwan on 3 points each, while an abandoned Match 8 would put Sudurpaschim on 3 points and give Biratnagar their first point.
How Live Scores Work During a Match
Live score hub updates through the match with runs, wickets and overs, ball by ball. Match centre shows both innings totals, wickets fallen, overs bowled, run rate and the result as play progresses, and the page refreshes during live play with a manual refresh option. Between matches the hub switches to the upcoming fixture list and recent results, so the page is useful even on rest days like today.
Scorecard habit for fans is simple: open the live-scores page before the toss, keep it open during play, and check the match page after the game for the full scorecard. Full scorecards stay available on each match page after the result, which makes checking any earlier match, from the opener onward, a one-page job.
