Actor Shahid Kapoor, 34, married fiancee Mira Rajput, 21, in an intimate ceremony in Delhi on Tuesday. The wedding, with rituals in traditional Punjabi style, is believed to have been attended only by close friends and family.
As photos from the ceremony began to trickle onto social media, he actor himself Instagrammed a selfie with his new bride:
While Shahid Kapoor was wearing a sherwani planned by Kunal Rawal, Mira looked rich and brilliant in a light pink and silver weaved lehenga with a shroud over her head. She brandished an involved Navratna neckpiece and hoops set, and teamed her look with a ‘maang-tika’ and a “jhoomar” in favor of her head.
“Much obliged to you,” the 34-year-old on-screen character said to the media after the shutterbugs went clickety-snap to catch the couple’s radiating grins.
The couple postured together outside the gathering venue – The Oberoi, Gurgaon. A gathering for the relatives and close companions will be held here in a while.
Shahid Kapoor’s great companion and maker Mubina Rattonsey took to Twitter to share a photo from the function. Mubina tweeted, “Welcome Mira Rajput Kapoor.
