People usually get a cold or heat stroke in extreme heat and develop a fever – some of the common symptoms of heat stroke include headache, fainting, nausea, vomiting and dizziness. Also, the patient’s body temperature exceeds 40 degrees Celsius.
But prevention of heat stroke fever is not very difficult. It is important to drink plenty of water and avoid foods that are high in sugar or caffeine.
Always cover your head and wear slippers on your feet – according to experts, drinking tea in such weather is better than drinking water.
If you have any of the above symptoms, you should take a shower immediately and sit near a fan to cool the body down – and if you’re feeling feverish, try cooling different parts of the body with ice.
Do not use fever medicine in case of flu.
Dress your children in light, loose-fitting clothes, made from fabrics like cotton. Light-colored clothes help keep them cool by shielding them from the sun’s rays. Don’t forget to use a hat and sunglasses to protect your face and eyes from the sun.
One of the best ways to prevent heat stroke in children is to keep them well hydrated.
