The CPL 2026 squads combine established West Indies cricketers, overseas signings and a required group of Breakout Players. Seven teams will take part from 7 August to 20 September.
A standard squad has 17 players: nine senior West Indies players, five overseas players and three Breakout Players. Antigua and Jamaica have announced larger player pools because some overseas signings are available for only part of the tournament. Those names are separated below so the changes are easy to understand.

CPL 2026 squad and selection rules
- Each standard squad contains 17 players.
- The roster mix is nine senior West Indies players, five overseas players and three Breakout Players.
- A match XI can contain no more than four overseas players.
- Every match XI must include at least one player selected in rounds 15 to 17 of the draft.
- Replacement or phased overseas signings can change the registered group during the season.
The Breakout requirement matters on match day. A young player cannot be kept in the squad only for development; at least one late-round selection must be part of the playing XI.

CPL 2026 squad questions
Why do Antigua and Jamaica list more than five overseas names?
Both franchises announced phased signings because of player availability. The overseas group changes during the tournament; the extra names are not all active in the same match squad.
How many overseas players can play in one CPL match?
A team can select a maximum of four overseas players in its playing XI.
