The international cricket council (ICC) have announced all teams and groups of upcoming biggest cricket tournament i.e. ICC Cricket World Cup 2015.
One more time, total of 14 international cricket teams will participate in the tournament. For starting round, all fourteen teams are divided into 2 pools which are Pool A and Pool B.
The competition is all set to begin from 14th of February 2015 in Wellington, New Zealand. Check out the list of all teams and groups of ICC cricket world cup 2015 below.
ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 Teams
After the end of 2011 Cricket World Cup, it was announced that 10 teams which are fully fully associated with test games will play the 2015 world cup.
But the announcement faced lots of criticism and ICC had to include other associate members. This means 4 teams which are Scotland, Afghanistan, Ireland and United Arab Emirates have qualified for the finals and are now playing the eleventh edition of ICC World Cup. The African cricket team Kenya failed to qualify this time as they were knocked out from world cup in qualification round.
Teams qualified directly: England, Australia, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, New Zealand, South Africa, India, Pakistan, West Indies & Zimbabwe.
Teams qualified via qualification round: Ireland, United Arab Emirates, Scotland and Afghanistan.
ICC World Cup 2015 Groups
All 14 teams are divided into 2 pools which are given as:
Pool A: England, Australia, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, New Zealand, Scotland, Afghanistan.
Pool B: South Africa, India, Pakistan, West Indies, Zimbabwe, Ireland, United Arab Emirates.
The tournament will run for 44 days in which total of 49 games will be played. Out of these 14 teams, 8 teams will qualify for the quarter finals. Thereafter 4 teams will enter into semi finals. Final match will be played on 29th of March.
