For the first time in history Pakistan will host the Circle-Style Kabaddi World Cup 2020 from February 9th to 16th at three different venues of Punjab.
A total of seven (10) nations will be competing for the ultimate title of the World Cup which namely are: India, Canada, England, Australia, Germany, Azerbaijan, Kenya, Iran, Sierra Leone and the host Pakistan.
The ten nations will be bracketed in two groups with the leading two sides from each pool qualifying for the semi-finals. The competitions will be held in Lahore, Faisalabad and Gujrat. Both the opening and closing ceremonies will be held at Lahore’s Punjab Stadium.
Overall 24 matches will be played during the Feb 9-16 event in Lahore, Faisalabad and Gujrat. Among these 14 matches will be staged at the Punjab Stadium in Lahore, eight at the Iqbal Stadium, Faisalabad and two at the Zahoor Elahi Stadium in Gujrat.
Enchanting winning cash prize of Rupees 10 Million has been allocated for the World Cup winner while the Runner up will get Rupees 7.5 Million. The team to settle for the third positions will be given Rupees 5 Million.

Pakistan’s kabaddi team comprises of Muhammad Irfan (Captain) , Shafiq Ahmed (Vice Captain), Beniameen, Touseef Liaquat , Qamar Zaman, Zafar Iqbal, Arslan Mehmood, Muhammad Nafees Shahid, Musharraf Javed, Kaleem Ullah, Akmal Shahzad, Muhammad Sajjad, Bilal Mohsin, Waqas Ahmad Butt, Sajid Nasir, Abaidullah, Shahram Sajid Hussain, Rashid Mehmood, Muhammad Zulqarnain, Ishtiaq Rehman(Heera Butt).
