The team won Group D in that tournament, winning each of their group games by a score of 1-0. But in the knockout round, they lost to Benin on penalty kicks after drawing 1-1.
On Monday, Morocco will look to start its career trying to win the Cup for the first time since 1976.
First up is a Ghanaian team that also won their Group in the 2019 Cup and then lost in the first round of the playoffs.
Ghana won Group F despite going just 1-0-2. He scored more goals than Cameroon to win the tiebreaker despite both teams having the same record.
Their streak ended in the first round when Ghana, like Morocco, lost on penalties. They ended in a 1-1 draw and lost to Tunisia 5-4 on penalty kicks.
Both teams are looking to make a race this year and it starts with this opening game. The team that wins will have the advantage in Group C.
