PM announces up to Rs. 9.43 per liter cut in Petrol Prices

ISLAMABAD (Web Desk): Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif today (Friday October 31, 2014) announced that petrol price has been reduced by Rs. 9.43 per liter to provide relief to the masses.

The Prime Minister made the announcement while addressing the Federal Cabinet meeting in Islamabad.

He said that petrol price has been reduced from Rs. 103.62 to Rs. 94.19 per litre.

PM Nawaz said the government is committed to bring economic change in the country and provide relief to the people. He has urged the transporters to adjust fares accordingly. Petrol Price

The government is drastically reducing the petroleum prices despite sit-ins and protests caused huge losses to the national economy, he added.

He said the government was moving towards economic stability, but sit-ins and protests disrupted the development process. Petrol Price

Country will once again continue its journey towards economic prosperity, he said.

Separately, the price of diesel has been decreased by Rs. 6.18 per litre and kerosene oil Rs. 8.16 and high-octane has reduced by Rs. 14.68 per litre.

The new prices of petroleum products will be applicable from 1st November.
