
Rawalpindi / Islamabad (Web Desk): A heavy traffic jam was seen on Murree road as a large number of tourists arrived to visit picnic spot on the third day of Eid, hence Rawalpindi Traffic Police has stopped entry of more vehicles in Murree.
Chief Traffic Police Rawalpindi Shoaib Khurram Janbaz said that there was a capacity of 4000 vehicles in Muree however currently there were around 70000 vehicles.
Talking to Abbtakk News, Chief Traffic Police Rawalpindi, Shoaib Khurram Janbaz said that more than 85000 vehicles entered in Murree since yesterday, while today more than 54000 vehicles have arrived so far, and almost the same number of vehicles have been asked to return back due to heavy traffic jam.
He told that currently there were around 60 to 70 thousand vehicles in Murree and despite of restricting the entry of vehicles a large number of people were coming to Murree.
Chief Traffic Police officer added that the police have stopped the entry of all types of vehicles in Murree, as all the parking areas were full.
Shoaib Khurram told that currently there were three DSP, 10 Inspectors and 390 Wardens deployed in Murree to control the traffic.
