Legendary Pakistani cricketer and Prime Minister Imran Khan will open the tournament and there will be an opening ceremony with the participation of Atif Aslam and Aima Baig.
But even before the league, or ‘games’, opened, controversy hit PSL with fans criticizing the Pakistan Cricket Board for copying the opening video from the London 2012 Olympics in its promotion.

“The PSL video begins with Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Ramiz Raja entering the Prime Minister’s office and demanding that Prime Minister Imran Khan accompany him, similar to how the actor did Hollywood’s Daniel Craig in the London Olympics video asking Queen Elizabeth to open the Olympics…
“The PCB appears to have included scenes and footage similar to the London Olympics video that was filmed 10 years ago,” he said.
