Saqlain Mushtaq has now become a practicing Muslim. He was born a Muslim but like most of the Muslims we see today he was hardly concerned with the religion. Cricket was his passion and he spent his time chasing his dreams.
Once he got his retirement from international cricket, Saqlain started taking interest in his religion and now we see a clear transformation in Saqlain. He has grown a beard and prays as per the Islamic rituals and follows the rules and laws implemented by Islam.
In the final game of the All-stars T20 cricket challenge there were many guests invited and among was Elizabeth Hurley. She is a renowned TV and film actresses and also the girlfriend of Warriors captain Shane Warne.
Saqlain Mushtaq refused to shake hands with Shane Warne girlfriend, because he is a muslim.

She came to the bench and met all the players. She shook hands with them and when it comes to Saqlain well he neither stood up nor he shook hands with the actresses.
It was expected and Warne and Elizabeth both didn’t mind it at all. They knew Saqlain is a Muslim and as per the customs of Islam men and women are not allowed to shake hands with each other like this.
As for cricket yet another fascinating game it was. The Warriors have lifted the cup with 3-0 margin in the series. The series is over but it has surely contributed a lot towards developing interest in cricket in Unites States of America.
We hope that such series always take place on regular intervals so that we can see our formal players in action a lot more.
