A Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight attendant has escaped from a hotel in Toronto, Canada.
Waqar Ahmed Jadoon was part of the crew of PIA flight PK-781 from Islamabad to Toronto. After immigration clearance at the airport, the crew arrived at the hotel from which the flight disappeared.
National airline officials have filed a missing person’s report with Toronto police.
The flight attendant was in contact with other crew members until Jan. 22, PIA spokesman Abdullah Hafeez said, adding, however, that he was not in his room before takeoff.
He said disciplinary action will also be taken against the stewardess.
This is not the first time a PIA flight attendant has gone missing in Canada. Over the past five years, nine such cases have been reported.
