Former NBA champion Stephen Jackson made life-changing changes when he officially converted to Islam. The 42-year-old retired in 2015 after fourteen years in the league.
Jackson followed in the footsteps of legendary Karim Abdul-Jabar (born Ferdinand Louis Alkindor Jr.), who converted to Islam in 1968 before joining the NBA.

Since the announcement of his conversion to Islam, celebrities and fans have been congratulating Stephen.
Jackson’s announcement was welcomed by many of his fans.
“I recently converted to Islam, may Allah guide us on this new journey with an open heart and a clearer mind, Alhamdulilla,” wrote one person.
“Welcome to my brother’s house, Allah guides whoever He wants,” added another.
By converting to Islam, Jackson joined many athletes who had made decisions in recent years.
In November 2020, Dutch boxer Ruby Jesse Mesu announced his conversion to Islam on his official social media accounts after practicing religion for many years.
Several months earlier, in April 2020 to be precise, Wilhelm Ott also announced that he had converted to Islam. Ott is a professional MMA (Mix Martial Arts) fighter from Austria.
